1. Capture wild eel seedlings directly from the wild. From April to October every year, eels can be caught with eel cages in rice fields and shallow ditches. Especially on sultry days or after thunderstorms, the most eels come out to move around, more at night than during the day. One person can bring 200 eel seedlings at one time. Put it into the ditch in the field at night or after a thunderstorm, and you can catch the eel in a few hours. When using eel cages to catch eels, you should pay attention to two points: first, it is best to use earthworms as bait, and take eel seedlings 2-3 times a night from each cage; second, when the eel cage is put into the water, the tail of the cage must be Slightly above the water surface allows the eel to breathe air in the cage, otherwise it will suffocate or suffer from hypoxia. At dawn, the eel cages are taken back, the large eel seedlings are sold, and the smaller ones are kept as eel seeds. The eel seedlings caught in this way are healthy and have no injuries, and have a high survival rate.
Another method is to light up the lights at night, patrol along the ditches of the fields, and find the eels that come out to feed, and catch them with eel traps or with your bare hands. When capturing, try not to damage the body of the eel as much as possible. Caught eel seedlings should be released immediately.
