What is Halloween in Korea?
In Korea, Halloween, also known as Ghost Day, or All Saints' Day, is a traditional Western holiday celebrated on November 1 every year; and October 31, the eve of Halloween, is the most festive time of the holiday. In Chinese, Halloween is often falsely translated as All Saints' Day. To celebrate Halloween, children dressed as cute ghosts and goblins knock on doors door to door, asking for candy or else they will go trick-or-treating. At the same time, legend has it that on this night, all kinds of ghosts and goblins will dress up as children and mix with the masses to celebrate the coming of Halloween, and humans will dress up as all kinds of ghosts and goblins in order to make the ghosts and goblins more harmonious.
