There are two methods of growing dragon fruit, cuttings and grafting. Cuttings should be taken in the spring, healthy dragon fruit branches are cut, dried and inserted into the soil, waiting for rooting. Grafting can be done all year round, cut healthy dragon fruit stems and insert them into a well-grown measuring tape rootstock, then tie them tightly with string and wait for about four days.
A, planting methods
1, cuttings propagation: in the spring, choose a healthy dragon fruit branches cut, cut into 15cm length, and then put it into a cool place to dry the plug. After that, insert it into the soil and wait for rooting.
2, grafting propagation: choose healthy dragon fruit stems, and then cut it down and insert it into the rootstock of the measuring tape with good growth conditions. After insertion, you need to use a string to tie the two tightly to prevent falling off. Then put it in 28-30 ℃ conditions, about 4 days to be able to grafting success.
Two, maintenance methods
1, temperature: because it likes high temperature, so you need to ensure that the average annual temperature above 18 ℃. In winter, it is best not to let the temperature below 8 ℃.
2, soil: it likes weakly alkaline soil, it is best to plant on soil with PH between 7.0-8.0.
3, moisture: although it has a certain drought tolerance, but without enough water, it can not grow properly. During its growing period, you need to water it from time to time to ensure that it has enough water for growth.
4, light: it is very like the sun, can accept sunlight. Within a certain range, the stronger the sunlight, the faster it grows and the faster the nutrients accumulate.
5, fertilization: its growth needs sufficient nutrient support, in the growth period before the full nitrogen fertilizer, to help the plant grow quickly, before the flowering period, should increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, like WoYe potassium dihydrogen phosphate, to help it from the nutritive growth to the reproductive growth of the transformation, to bloom more flowers, bear more fruits.
