Check the oil dipstick as follows:
1. Park the vehicle on the flat ground and keep the vehicle stationary for about 20-30 minutes.
2. Open the engine cover and find the oil dipstick beside the engine.
3. Pull out the oil dipstick and wipe it clean with a paper towel or towel. At this time, you can clearly see the two marks of the oil dipstick. The mark at the bottom is the lowest limit of oil, and the mark at the top is the highest limit of oil.
4. After wiping clean, insert the oil dipstick back.
5. Then pull it out and check whether the oil level is in the middle of the two marks.
6. If it is in the middle part, it means that the oil quantity is moderate; if it is below the lower limit, the oil is too low; if it is at the upper limit, it means that there is too much oil.
Automobile engine oil is normal as long as it is in the middle between the lowest limit and the highest limit of the oil dipstick. If it is too much or too little, it will affect the automobile engine.
What happens if there is too much or too little oil:
1. Too much engine oil: too much engine oil will lead to problems such as increased fuel consumption, decreased engine power, substandard environmental protection and reduced oil seal life. If there is too much oil, it can be pumped or drained, and the oil level can be lowered to the middle position between the lowest limit and the highest limit.
2. Too little engine oil: too little engine oil will lead to accelerated engine wear, and also affect the engine lubrication system and piston heat dissipation. At this time, only a proper amount of engine oil is needed, when the oil level is in the middle between the lowest limit and the highest limit.
Tips: The engine oil change cycle must be changed regularly according to the provisions in the vehicle maintenance manual.
