Siming District is located on the southern coast of Fujian Province, south of Xiamen City, and consists of the southern part of Xiamen Island and the entire island of Gulangyu Island. It is adjacent to Huli District to the north, and across the sea from the Little Kinmen Islands and Zhangzhou City to the east, west and south. Historical evolution
