At first, I heard that there is an ancient town of Jingziguan in Xichuan, Henan, and I yearned for it, because it is called "one foot in three provinces" and "Jingziguan in three provinces of Ji Ming". What is the concept of "one foot in three provinces"? This aroused my strong curiosity. The mountain road was eighteen bends, and our party finally arrived at Jingziguan.
When we enter from the south gate of Jingziguan, we will smell a very simple smell. Those pavilions are all ancient buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. These buildings basically retain the original appearance of Ming and Qing architecture. The houses facing the street are built one by one, almost all with black wooden doors, and the doors are closed at night and during the day, which is convenient for doing business. The eaves and corners of the corridor, including the painted walls, are well preserved.
This street is only 2.5 kilometers long, just one street. It seems to have condensed the charm of hundreds of years, like the aftertaste of generations. There are more than 700 ancient buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with black painted door panels and gray wall tiles. Stone workshops, piers, columns and cornices of various shapes have their own characteristics, and stone carvings, brick carvings and wood carvings set each other off. In 200 1 year, Jingziguan ancient building complex was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
It is said that in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Danjiang was in its heyday, and gangs and businessmen from all over the country settled in Jingziguan in succession, leaving many buildings built by skilled craftsmen here, so it was very lively, with rows of shops, bustling streets and people jostling with each other. Today, although the Ming and Qing buildings here are well preserved, they can no longer see the prosperity of that year, and there are few pedestrians on the street. After walking through this street, there were not many people except a few old ladies and their fathers sitting in the street.
Out of curiosity, I took the initiative to say hello to the old people. When asked how long they had lived here, the answer I got surprised me a little. The oldest one has lived here for more than 80 years and has lived here since she was born. The old lady also told us that her family opened a shop many years ago to do business. Later, because the roads outside extended in all directions, the whole ancient town gradually became quiet and depressed.
Careful observation reveals that all the shops in this ancient town are downstairs and the houses are upstairs, which is actually a good business model. For example, in a jewelry store, if a customer takes a fancy to a certain piece of jewelry but needs to modify it, the owner will immediately go upstairs to handle it, let the customer sit downstairs for a while, then offer a cup of green tea for a short rest, and take out the finished product after handling it. In this way, guests can wait comfortably and their business can be successful, killing two birds with one stone. They have to admire the wisdom of the ancients and think very carefully.
The ancient town has little benefit for tourists, that is, no one will break into the camera, shoot if they want, and watch if they want. According to local people, the ancient town is divided into three parts. From the south gate, there are slums, and then civilian areas. Crossing the Ma Yin Bridge is the rich area. Zoning is very obvious, but it is not as prosperous as before.
There are Shanshan Guild Hall, Yu Wangfu, palaces, bridges and other ancient buildings in the ancient town. It is worth a visit to learn about the history of the ancient town of Jingziguan, the busy traffic in the previous prosperous period and so on.
The most magnificent thing in Jingguan Ancient Town is the Shanshan Guild Hall built by Shanxi merchants in 1806. The guild hall covers an area of more than 4,000 square meters, facing Danjiang from east to west. There are 6 existing buildings and 29 residential buildings. On the central axis, there are gatehouse, theater (gallery), bell and drum tower, lobby, front hall ruins, back hall, Spring and Autumn Pavilion, etc. The architectural structure of Shaanxi guild hall is novel and unique, and the most distinctive one is stone carving. Every pillar in the guild hall has a pillar.
The landscape of Jingziguan has four characteristics: streets, bridges, borders and temples. There are sayings such as "three ancient towns", "three provinces have crows" and "three provinces have one foot". The place where we set foot in the three provinces was not in the old street of Shanshan Guild Hall, but in another street, and we took a seven-turn car. This street is called Bailang Street, which is shared by three provinces, so it is called "Three Provinces and One Street".
This Bailang Street is famous for its Friendship Pavilion in three provinces. There is a triangle stone under the pavilion, which is called "Three Provinces Stone". The monument belongs to Bailang Town, Shaanxi Province in the west, Bailang Town, Hubei Province in the southeast and Bailang Village, Jingziguan Town, Henan Province in the northeast. Three provinces in one step, this is the origin of "three provinces in one step". Since we are here, we must step on it and feel what it is like to "step on three provinces with one foot". Therefore, the spire of that stone tablet is no longer sharp, but rather round.
The most interesting thing is the marital status here, and "open families in three provinces" is a major feature. Most families may be like this: the man may be from Shaanxi, the wife may be from Hubei and the daughter-in-law may be from Henan. A grandson may worry about which province to go to. Haha, it is really a "big alliance of three provinces". It is said that calling here is also very interesting. It's only a block or a building away from here, and it's far from outside the province. This strange white wave street is now a must for tourists, so the sparrow is small and complete, and there are all kinds of food and accommodation in the canteen, but it is relatively simple. If you want to eat local specialties, it is recommended to eat "eight big pieces".
Eight pieces of meditation are eight kinds of steamed dishes, which are made from raw materials such as cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks and fish. They have different tastes and shapes. Some fry first, some cook first, and then fry. Various cooking methods come together, but in the end they are all steamed in a pot and then served. Even the soup is steamed, which tastes soft and fragrant.
There was a restaurant called Judexuan in the ancient street of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The dishes operated by Juxuan are mainly Jingziguan eight pieces. Because the "Eight Big Pieces" of Jingziguan are the profound food culture accumulated by the people of Jingziguan in their long-term life, and are the basic banquet standards for folk weddings and funerals, with strong regional characteristics.

In Jingziguan, the most popular and abundant meal is "Eight Pieces". On holidays, when relatives get together, they will prepare "eight big things" to entertain relatives and friends. So when you get to Jingziguan, you must try the eight big pieces here when you have the chance.
