Changshan Island in the north and south is connected by a long dam, which was originally called Jade Street. According to the geographical records of Penglai, "the long mountains in the north and south are five miles apart, and all the way through the communication is more than 2 feet, all of which are Pearl Rocks and Jade Street". But later people called it "one-night street", and there is a touching story circulating here. It is said that when Emperor Taizong crossed to the East, Wei Chijingde, a general with the same love, passed through here with a great army. At that time, there was no road between the two islands, and the exchanges depended entirely on ships.

One day, Emperor Taizong got the news that Wei Chijingde was seriously ill and bedridden. Emperor Taizong was anxious to visit him. But the strong wind suddenly made it difficult for the ferry to open. Emperor Taizong held his head high and sang, "I hate the sky's lack of love, and there is no way to explore love. How can I cross the boat?" Worried to sleep, he had a dream. He dreamed that a white dragon roared out of the water and soon became a street as white as jade. After waking up, Emperor Taizong rushed to the beach and saw it, and it was like a dream. As a result, the soldiers shouted and the people cheered, and Jade Street got a name called "One Night Street".
