You can take bus No.27 and No.1 across the street to get off the terminal ferry and take a boat trip to Gulangyu,

Or take bus No.18 to Xiamen University, take a walk to the beach on Hulishan, ride a tandem bike or take the

BRT.

If you want to eat, you'd better go to Zhongshan Road. Some Xiamen snacks in the small streets there are still very authentic and the prices are not expensive.
