Since 2000, four new covered bridges have been built, namely Nanxi New Bridge, Le Tong Bridge, Wu Yanling Covered Bridge and Buxia Covered Bridge. Dong Zhiji and Zeng Jiakuai are famous local bridge builders, and they are often invited to build bridges outside Taishun County, including the Huangtuling Covered Bridge built by Zeng Jiakuai in Quzhou in 2006 and the Qionghua Covered Bridge built by Dong Zhiji in Sanxi Wetland in Wenzhou in 2008.
