Brief introduction of Zhou Zi ancient town
Zhou Zi Ancient Town, also known as Zhoukou Town and Zhoukou, faces Xiangru Ancient Town (now Jinping Town) across the river. Known as the last wharf ancient town on Jialing River. This century-old street, which is about 1000 meters long, not only has more than 3,000 courtyards of Qing Dynasty houses, but also preserves complete ancient architectural sites such as Lianxi Temple, Wanshou Palace, Wusheng Palace, Huajiang Building and Yanxian Temple. The ancient town of Zhou Zi, which flourished in the Tang and Song Dynasties, has accumulated for thousands of years, giving birth to a thick and unique wharf ancient town culture. "Water, shape, culture and history" blend harmoniously in the ancient town. "Water" is the "soul" of the ancient town, and Jialing River floats like a beautiful jade belt, giving the ancient town charm; "Shape" is the "body" of the ancient town. Ancient docks, ancient houses, ancient shops, ancient teahouses and ancient inns spread out on the mountain. "Wen" is the "temperament" of the ancient town. In the heyday of ancient town culture, a generation of great writers were born, leaving behind the eternal swan song "Yellow"; Attracted Wu Daozi, the "painting saint" who was ordered to shoot "Splendid Jialing 300 Li", and "The powder is coming"; Zhou Dunyi, founder of Neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties, gave a lecture at the altar, and the reading sound of "Ailian Shuo" was faintly audible.
