In fact, when I was a child, when I traveled with adults, adults didn't pay much attention to eating, and they probably had limited knowledge and were unfamiliar with the Internet, so they rarely ate some local specialties. Later, when I grew older and my travel was gradually dominated by myself, I began to pay more attention to local specialties. But it is not an authentic foodie. There is no obsession to eat the most distinctive food when going to a place, so there are not many unforgettable foods during the trip.
1. Crossing the bridge rice noodles in Mengzi, Yunnan.
At that time, I followed the veterans who had participated in the counterattack against Vietnam to the Yunnan border and went back to the battlefield of that year. One of the trips was to visit the Mengzi Martyrs Cemetery, and I ate the most authentic rice noodles crossing the bridge in Mengzi.
I was really shocked when the big bowl was served (forgive the image quality of the mobile phone in those days). It was really bigger than my face, and it was filled with boiling soup, but because the surface was covered with thin oil, I couldn't see the obvious hot air, but everything on the left side could be cooked in the bowl, so you can imagine how high the temperature was. One person is a big plate on the left and a big pot on the right, hahaha. It's really full and delicious.
2. Jiugongge Hot Pot in Chongqing.
I met my girlfriends who participated in the postgraduate entrance examination interview in Chongqing, and they went to eat a Jiugongge hot pot near Jie Fangbei. In fact, I can't remember exactly what I ate, except that every bar was very hemp and spicy, and neither of us ate much, so we were too busy drinking spicy drinks.
3. Brewed beer fish and snail in Yangshuo, Guangxi.
We lived in a farmhouse run by a young man, whose parents took care of it and provided some food. It's just that it's not convenient for us to eat nearby, so we ordered some dishes directly in the hotel at night, and his parents cooked them on the spot. Uncle and aunt are very simple, they don't talk much, they just smile at us shyly, but the beer fish and snail stew made are so delicious that we later went back to Guilin and ate beer fish again, but the taste is not as good as that of that homestay.
Maybe it's an environmental bonus. We were eating at a big table in the open-air yard. The temperature was lukewarm, the stars were shining in the sky, and uncles and aunts were cooking slowly. The scene and feeling were really hard to forget.
4. Roasted whole sheep and homemade Ciba in Shangri-La, Yunnan.
Roasted whole sheep is really delicious, and the visual impact of the whole sheep is unforgettable. The rough way of directly sharing food with a knife gives people a bold feeling of eating meat with a big mouth and drinking in a big bowl.
