Tahini Hanaki is a popular folk delicacy made from flour and sesame paste. The production method is roughly the same as traditional Hanamaki, in which the aroma and nutrition of sesame paste are brought out to the greatest extent.
1. Make sesame paste
Pour the sesame paste purchased on the market into a glass bowl. Because the sesame paste is relatively dry, you can add appropriate corn oil to it and mix it into a glass bowl. Pasty-like, the corn oil is fragrant, has no unnecessary smell, and does not cover up the aroma of tahini. You can then add an appropriate amount of brown sugar according to your own taste. After mixing evenly, it is ready to use.
2. Fermented dough
Mix the prepared flour, yeast and warm water and knead into a smooth dough. Then place it in a warm place to ferment. The fermented dough will take on a honeycomb shape and the dough will not spring back when pressed. This dough is complete. Take the dough out and knead it until the surface is smooth. Press the dough into a sheet shape. You can adjust the texture according to your own eating habits. If you like a soft and fluffy Hanamaki, you can roll the dough thicker. If you like a chewy and elastic texture, you can roll the dough thinner. After rolling out the dough, pour the prepared sesame paste onto the dough, and then use a spatula to evenly cover the surface of the dough with the sesame paste. Roll the dough sheet from one side into a long strip, then divide it into small sections of equal weight. Take out the small section you just made, cut it in the middle and fold the two sides in half, so that a sesame sauce flower roll is completed. The prepared sesame sauce flower rolls need to rest for fifteen minutes before being steamed.
3. Steam the sesame rolls
Put the sesame rolls into a pot of cold water and steam until they are cooked. The sweet and delicious sesame rolls are ready.
Tahini Hanaki not only tastes good but is also rich in nutrients. Tahini is rich in high-quality protein and amino acids, which can improve the body's resistance and prevent iron deficiency anemia. Brown sugar has a very good effect on blood circulation and blood stasis. Everyone can make it themselves.
