This film tells many stories about mountain spirits and ghosts in Japanese legends. The style of the film is simple and unique, not scary.

The ending of the story is usually very heartwarming.

The young actor is very handsome, but a little tired.

The most classic thing is the theme music of this film, which is absolutely master-level and raises the quality of the film several levels at once.
