As of June 30, 2017, there were 224 civil airports in my country.

In 2020, the number of transportation airports will reach about 260. A number of major projects such as Beijing New Airport and Chengdu New Airport will be completed and put into operation. The facility capacity of hub airports will be further improved, and a number of regional airports will be put into use.

By 2025, on the basis of existing (including under construction) airports, 136 new airports will be added, and 370 civil transport airports will be planned nationwide (about 320 are planned to be completed).
