When debugging satellite TV signals, we often use the data in the following formats to set up a satellite receiver to receive related satellite TV signals. Polarization: There are two polarization modes of satellite TV broadcast signals: one is linear polarization, and the other is circular polarization. In linear polarization mode, it can be divided into horizontal polarization and vertical polarization; In circular polarization mode, it can be divided into left-handed circular polarization and right-handed circular polarization.

The following describes the commonly used vertical polarization (V) and horizontal linear polarization (H) receiving methods.

The reception of vertical polarization and horizontal polarization is determined by changing the direction of the rectangular waveguide feed port. When the long side of a rectangular waveguide is parallel to the ground, it receives vertical polarization, and when it is perpendicular to the ground, it receives horizontal polarization. The polarization direction (polarization angle) varies from place to place. Because the earth is a sphere, but the downlink beam of satellite signals propagates along a horizontal straight line, which causes the same polarization signal received at different azimuth angles to be different, so the polarization direction of signals received at different geographical locations is also different. FEC, also known as forward error correction, is a very important data. In early digital computers, such as NOKIA9500, FEC parameters need to be input. Only later, the operation speed of the digital computer was improved, and FEC could be measured automatically without the user's own input of FEC parameters. However, FEC is still an indispensable parameter in the decoding process of digital programs. This is just like today's blind scanner with faster operation speed can receive programs without inputting parameters, but the downlink frequency and symbol rate are still the most basic program data. In digital signal, in order to prevent external signal interference and protect the signal from changing, multiple error correcting codes should be set. In the process of decoding, digital signals are very sensitive to error signals. As long as there are very small errors every second, it can't be decoded normally. The smooth playback of digital satellite signals is due to the setting of error correction codes in digital signals. Among all kinds of error correcting codes, FEC is a very important anti-jamming algorithm. The FEC method of forward error correction is used to reduce the bit error rate of digital signals and improve the reliability of signal transmission.
