In Jiande, Hangzhou, there is a relatively small and little-known thousand-year-old town: Meicheng Ancient Town, which is located at the intersection of Xin 'anjiang, Fuchunjiang and Lanjiang. Although the ancient town of Meicheng has been renovated and rebuilt in the later period, its profound historical and cultural heritage has not been reduced. The traffic here is very convenient, and it only takes 30 minutes to drive from jiande city to Meicheng Ancient Town.

Speaking of the name of Meicheng, I have to mention the ancient city wall here. The ancient city wall built by the river is named after the shape of plum blossoms. Known as "two plum blossoms in the world, one in Beijing, one in Nanjing and half in Meicheng".

Because most of the buildings in Meicheng ancient town are newly built, the buildings here are not very attractive to me, but the food here attracts me. There are many shops on both sides of the main street in Meicheng ancient town, but the business atmosphere is not very strong. Except for some gourmet snack bars, most shops are closed, either because there are fewer tourists or because there are no businesses.

Yanzhou sesame seed cake is a famous snack in Jiande, also known as Jiande dried vegetable sesame seed cake. The traditional Yanzhou sesame seed cake is produced in this ancient town. There are fillings such as dried plum, chopped green onion or minced meat in the sesame seed cake, and there is a layer of flour cake wrapped in sugar juice, oil and sesame seeds. The taste is soft and crisp, and the taste is fragrant. It is reported that Yanzhou sesame seed cake also participated in "West Lake Expo" and won the first place.

Another Yanzhou specialty snack I tasted can be said to be very "wonderful", just like a dark dish. It is "Yanzhou special corn grits", which is difficult for many tourists to accept. When I walked to the booth, it didn't attract me at first. Later, the shopkeeper said that I had to eat snacks in Yanzhou, so I decided to buy one and try it.

The special corn grits in Yanzhou look like those in Huang Cancan. They look like jiaozi, which northerners like to eat. However, after hearing the shopkeeper say that the stuffing inside is stinky tofu, I hesitated again ... The "jiaozi" stuffed with stinky tofu simply subverted my imagination and bought one in 6 yuan with curiosity.

I have eaten stinky tofu, but this is the first time to eat something wrapped in corncob like this. I took a careful bite. Needless to say, although it smells bad, it tastes very mellow, crisp outside and tender inside, and it is delicious in the mouth. Colleagues saw that I bought one after tasting it, and they were full of praise, just like the owner said.
