Lotus blood duck belongs to the Pingxiang cuisine of the Gan cuisine family and is a famous specialty dish in Lianhua County, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. Lotus Blood Duck is listed as one of the "Top Ten Gan Cuisine" because of its characteristics of "delicious color, fragrance, tenderness and deliciousness". In 2009, it was successfully declared as a provincial intangible cultural heritage. In September 2018, it was rated as one of Jiangxi's top ten classic dishes in "Chinese Cuisine".

The historical legend of the Lotus Blood Duck:
It is said that when Wen Tianxiang led his army through Lotus, the Huotou Army mistakenly poured the duck blood into hot sauce.
