This is where Shanshan and her three girls love life, photography, travel and food.
As an outstanding representative of Cantonese cuisine, Chaozhou cuisine has very distinctive characteristics and the overall taste is light and delicious.
This time I traveled to Chaozhou, I had a different understanding of Chaozhou cuisine. If the flavor of Chaozhou cuisine is not just light and delicious, there are also dishes with strong aroma in Chaozhou cuisine, the most famous of which is tea sauce.
Beef and braised goose (there is an article earlier about braised goose, interested friends can read the previous article "The "most famous" "Chaozhou braised water" in Chaozhou, Guangdong, its origin is classic, tourists: delicious!").
Today, Shanshan and her three girls will take you to taste a fragrant traditional Chaozhou snack: Sha Cha Kueh.
In the early morning of this morning, Shanshan and her three girls once again walked out of Chaozhou Archway Street where they were staying and walked through the streets and alleys in order to find some good places for locals to find food. They walked from Archway Street to Nanjie Road and then to Zhende Road.
I found a snack shop at the intersection. The "Sha Cha Kueh" on the sign of this shop attracted me because I have seen this snack many times in different snack shops these days and I have always wanted to try it.
At this time, I saw many people coming to eat in the snack shop, and I thought that the food always tastes good in places where there are many people.
So, the three girls, Shanshan and Shanshan, decided to walk into this snack shop and try the "Shacha Cake" that they had been thinking about for a long time.
Entering the store, the snack bar is very small. A small area has been set up as a kitchen, and a few tables and chairs are set aside for guests to eat.
The "Shacha Cake" here is divided into large portions and small portions. The large portion is 10 yuan and the small portion is 7 yuan. Shanshan and her three girls ordered a small portion. After ordering, they found an empty seat and sat down to wait.
While waiting, I looked towards the kitchen to see how this "sand tea cake" was made.
In fact, the preparation is not complicated. First, blanch the rice noodles in a boiling soup pot, drain the water, and pour it into a bowl. Add the meat, lettuce, peanut butter, sand tea sauce, etc. to the rice noodles.
Seasonings, etc., it’s a delicious bowl of satay cake.
Throughout the production process, it is not difficult to see that the most special ingredients in a bowl of satay cake are two ingredients: satay paste and rice cake noodles.
Shacha sauce is a localized and imported product that is spicy and fragrant. When I taste the mild spiciness in the satay cakes, it is because of the addition of satay sauce.
Shacha sauce is very popular among Teochew people and is often used as a condiment for beef hot pot and stir-fried beef with sata.
You have to try it to know the delicious taste brought by the satay sauce!
Kueh teow is a food made with rice flour as the main ingredient and flour, potato starch and other auxiliary ingredients. "Kuih teow" is made from rice flour mixed into a slurry, steamed into thin slices and cut into strips.
When they first came into contact with it, Shanshan Sanyatou felt that it was similar to the rice noodles eaten in Guangzhou, but after tasting it carefully, she could feel that the rice noodles are different from the rice noodles, and the texture is more elastic than the rice noodles.
Soon, the landlady prepared the satay cakes and brought them to the table. Immediately, a thick sauce hit their faces. So, Shanshan and the three girls quickly mixed the ingredients first, and then took a bite. The first feeling was
: It smells so good!
Then, after tasting it carefully, I found that the "Shacha Cake" has a "slightly spicy" feeling.
Lubricant and soft rice noodles, coupled with the rich aroma of peanut butter and sand tea sauce, Shanshan and her three girls fell in love with it as soon as they tried it!
After eating a bowl of the fragrant and "slightly spicy" sand tea cake, I feel that a beautiful day in Chaozhou has begun again. Chaozhou is a city full of "deliciousness". As a "foodie", Shanshan Sanya feels that she
We came to the right place. Between the delicious meals, I felt like I fell in love with this city unconsciously.
After breakfast, Shanshan and the three girls will continue their one-day tour in Chaozhou.
