Ningxiang Flower Pig is native to Ningxiang County. As one of the four famous local pig breeds in China, the General Administration of Standards issued GB273-8 1, officially confirming Ningxiang Flower Pig as one of the four outstanding local pig breeds in China. In 2003, the new standard was promulgated and implemented again. In 2006, the Ministry of Agriculture indicated that Ningxiang Flower Pig was included in the international list of livestock genetic resources protection. In 2007, it obtained the national certificate of origin and product certification of pollution-free agricultural products. In 20 10, Ningxiang Flower Pig Industry Development Co., Ltd. registered the certification trademark of Ningxiang Flower Pig in the Industrial and Commercial Bureau.
