1: Nelson Institute of Technology is a public college founded in 1904. It is an institution of higher learning approved by the New Zealand government.
Originally named Nelson Polytechnic, it was renamed Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology on May 12, 2000.
The college is located in the heart of Nelson City, just three minutes away from major local shopping centers and banks.
More than 2,000 full-time students enroll every year, and there are currently more than 9,000 students, including more than 400 overseas students.
It has the School of Languages, the School of Tourism, the School of Computer Science, the School of Business, the School of Management, the School of Nursing Education, the School of Art and Design, the School of Social Sciences, etc.
The school has a rigorous ethos and all on-the-job teachers have relevant degrees and work experience.
