Renqiu's special snacks include: roasted donkey meat, roasted donkey meat, Baiyangdian red heart duck eggs, fried sesame cakes, old tofu, baked sweet potato crisp dates, Baiyangdian smoked fish, Renqiu eggplant cakes, Luoquan fried sesame cakes, spiced crispy fish and so on.

The excavation of cultural relics and sites unearthed in Renqiu proves that people lived in Yangshao culture as early as 8000 years ago. In ancient legends, there was Zhuan Xu City in the Five Emperors' era and Guo Yi in the Spring and Autumn Period, which belonged to Yan State.

According to Zuo Zhuan, in the tenth year of King Jing of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (535 BC), Qi General led an army to attack Yan and was stationed in Guo. In the afternoon of February, Qi Yan and the two countries concluded the "Union of Surabaya". During the Warring States period, there were Zhengyi and Xunzhen, which were changeable places recorded in historical books. Zhao recorded that Zhao Huiwen ruled for five years (294 BC), and Zhao cut the suburbs and gave them to Yan.

The history book also contains: In the 11th year of the King of Qin (236 BC), the state of Zhao sent Pang Wen, a famous soldier, to cut down the swallow and capture the land of prey (now the northeast of Renqiu). According to historical records, from the thirty-fifth year of Wang Xian in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty to the fourth year of Kuaiwang (334-365438 BC+0 1 year BC), "the Yan State built Nanchang City to prevent the invasion of Qin, Zhao, Qi and other countries. Most of the Yan Great Wall was built on the basis of Yishui dike. It starts in the southwest of yi county, passes through Dingxing, Xu Shui, Anxin and the north of Justice, and then extends to the southeast of Wen 'an, ending in the southwest of Dacheng County, with a total length of about 300 kilometers. Therefore, it is credible that the southern suburbs belong to Zhao and the northern suburbs belong to Yan.
