don't cross out the first photo. The decoration details of this building are extremely rare in Harbin. It is one of the most unique buildings I have ever seen, and it may be a very good choice for your May Day holiday. I found it in Red Brick Street, the affiliated street of Central Street, and it was hidden inside a residential area. Hongzhuan Street was originally a gourmet street, which was formed in 193. At first, many Russians set up bread factories here, so it was named Bread Street.
When we entered the building from the residential area, we didn't find any signboards nearby, indicating that this building is not in the historical protection building atlas. In order to determine the approximate construction period of the building, I asked some grandfathers around 7 years old who had played around the building when they were children and told me that the building was more than 1 years old.
I chose a few architectural details, and the shape at the main entrance on the first floor is very distinctive. It is a vase with three painted halberds on it, which symbolizes calmness, courage and fortitude. On the first floor, there is a vase shape on each window, and they are all flower shapes, and each shape is different. In the middle of the second floor is the word "home of peace", but should we read it from left to right or from right to left a hundred years ago? On both sides of Anzhiju, there are Chinese-style twined flowers, and the shape under the eaves should be Chinese-style rhombic lattice. There are so many Chinese-style buildings, I suspect that the community directly opposite it should have been the entrance hall of this building, but it was later demolished and made into a community.
The most wonderful place is in the doorway. This sculpture on the ground is a birthday character surrounded by five bats, which means "five blessings, happiness comes from heaven". It was definitely a high-end and wonderful design a hundred years ago. Even if this model is put into modern decoration, it will not appear outdated. Then there is a question here, how was this terrazzo material processed a hundred years ago? I have also seen such a splicing shape in the "Matsuura Foreign Firm" at the intersection of Hongzhuan Street and Central Street. Personally, I feel very shocked.
After entering the door, I found another shape on the ground, which is even more amazing. It means "there is that we wished to fly in heaven, two birds with the wings of one, and I would like to be a connecting branch on the ground". Moral: "it symbolizes that love is intertwined and will never be separated." There is also a Chinese-style back-to-back pattern design outside the flower-bound shape, which can even be traced back to the Stone Age. There is a beautiful meaning of "continuity, wealth and happiness, and future generations". From these details, it can be clearly concluded that the former owner of this building was not ordinary people.
The design of the corridor is very narrow, which is an obvious design technique for private houses. It's interesting to look at this wrought iron shape carefully, like a gourd with wishful patterns on it. The meaning of wishful thinking is very simple, and the gourd also means "Fulu", and it also means longevity, auspiciousness and prosperity for future generations. These shapes must be confused when used in modern decoration. I am also curious why the owner of this building has made so many decorative shapes, and my knowledge reserve is almost hollowed out.
There is a word "Shou" on every window on the second floor of the building, which is easy to understand. The key point is that except for the location of the staircase wrought iron, all other shapes need to be made by hand, and the cost of this building is not acceptable to ordinary people. In Daowai, the shapes of Chinese Baroque buildings are generally from stores, and very few houses have such complicated shapes.
Now this building is still inhabited, and the height of each floor is about four meters, and the house is still private property. Although the exterior looks really unsatisfactory, it is absolutely unique, at least the second one has not been found in the existing historical buildings.
I found the window lock of the hook between heaven and earth on the window of the house. This thing is an antique now. I told you that Harbin is a mysterious city. Most people only see the central street but don't know that the buildings around it are more interesting. Unfortunately, the stories behind these wonderful historical buildings are difficult to discover. We can only analyze them from the design elements of the buildings, but we don't know who used them. If a foreigner lived in such a house, would the story be very interesting?
finally, attach the specific house number of this building. You don't have to come to this place during the May Day holiday, just take a look when you pass by.
