Weizhou Island is located in the Beibu Gulf in the south of Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the youngest and largest volcanic island in China and one of the top ten most beautiful islands in China. It is now a national 4A-level tourist attraction. 1994 was designated as a provincial tourist resort and China National Geopark.
