When the county was established, there were three towns, namely Chongwu, Chongshan and Chengshan, Taikang, Shoujie, Li Xing, Min 'an, Pingkang, Guihua, Xiangfu, Zunxian, Chongde, Su Min, etc. 16 towns and 66 shops.
Records of the Han dynasty. Tang belonged to Wurongzhou, and it belonged to Jinjiang County in the eighth year of Kaiyuan (720). In the sixth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (98 1), Hui 'an County was established in Shili, Dongxiang, Jinjiang County, which means "benefiting the people". Cui Zhijie, the first magistrate.

Chongwu ancient city 1
Chongwu Ancient City is located in the southeast seashore of Hui 'an County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, bordering the Taiwan Province Strait. It was built in 1387 (twenty years of Ming Hongwu) by Jiang Xiahou and Zhou Dexing to resist Japanese invaders. It is the most complete ancient T-shaped stone city in China and one of more than 60 Wei 'an castles built by the Ming government in Wan Li.
Chongwu Ancient City, Jingfeng Liancheng Acropolis and Jingfeng Temple (3A-level scenic spot) belong to the first batch of key cultural relics protection units at the county level announced by Huian Revolutionary Committee 1979.
2. Keshan Temple
Keshan Temple is located at the top of Keshan Mountain in the western suburb of Hui 'an County. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty in Yuan You (1086- 1093) and was later abandoned. It was rebuilt in Jingtai period of Ming Dynasty (1450- 1456), with a building area of more than 700 square meters.
