1. Menyuan highland barley

Menyuan highland barley is a specialty of Menyuan Hui Autonomous County in Haibei, Qinghai. The cultivation of highland barley has a long history and is distributed over a vast area. However, in China, the cultivation of highland barley is concentrated in Qinghai and Tibet provinces on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, as well as in remote areas of Gansu and Sichuan that only border the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Qinghai is one of the five major pastoral areas in my country. It belonged to Qiang land in ancient times and was mainly pastoral. Its agricultural production scale is small and underdeveloped. However, highland barley seeds were found in the relics unearthed from the two ancient civilization sites in Haibei - Menyuan Yong'an City Site and Haomen Ancient City Site, dating back about 4160-2980 years ago, which shows that the ancestors at that time had begun to cultivate and eat highland barley.

2. Menyuan Milk Skin

Milk skin is a unique Hui dairy product in the Menyuan area. Milk is boiled and stirred to form foam, and then it is left to rest for a period of time. The condensed fat foam and other substances are the essence of milk. Menyuan milk skin is made from pure natural, pollution-free high-quality pasture from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and fresh milk from yaks and oxen raised in snow-capped mountain springs. It is refined according to modern nutritional needs on the basis of inheriting the traditional craftsmanship of the Hui people.
