In recent years, countries around the world have launched "food education" activities. Japan is the earliest country to practice food education. It formulated the "Food Education Basic Law" in 2005 and formulated a "food education plan" to promote it nationwide.
Project background
In 2012, nutritionists from the Capital Health, Nutrition and Gastronomy Society and reporters from the China Food Channel went to rural areas in Gansu, Qinghai and other places for research and found that there were many left-behind children and The elderly live together and still retain the old living habits. The children eat less variety of food and have strong tastes. They do not pay attention to personal hygiene. They like to eat spicy sticks, French fries, drink 50-cent blended drinks, and have insufficient intake of fruits, vegetables, and high-quality protein. , there are eggs and vegetables that are not eaten but used in exchange for money to buy snacks, etc. These factors seriously affect the healthy growth of children.
So at the end of 2012, the Capital Health, Nutrition and Gastronomy Society (Beijing Nutritionist Club) jointly launched a public welfare project "Paying Attention to the Health of Left-behind Children" in conjunction with a number of media organizations. It is intended to change children's health awareness and ultimately change their unhealthy behaviors.
