Introduction: Fujian Longyan Health School is one of the first batch of national key secondary vocational schools. Its predecessor was the "Zhangzhou Union Hospital Nursing School" founded in 1934.

In 1942, it was renamed "Renshu Senior Nursing School", in 1952 it was renamed "Fujian Longxi Nursing School", and in 1956 it was moved to Longyan.

In 1982, it was officially named "Fujian Longyan Health School".

In 2004, it was rated as one of the first batch of national key secondary vocational schools by the Ministry of Education.

On September 4, 2014, the unveiling ceremony of the Department of Clinical Medicine (in preparation) and the Department of Nursing (in preparation) of West Fujian Vocational and Technical College was held at Longyan Health School. Vice Mayor Guo Lizhen attended the unveiling ceremony. The unveiling means that Longyan Health School is integrated into West Fujian Vocational and Technical College.
