History of site construction

The predecessor of Haidu College was Laiyang Agricultural College. In the early 1980s, Laiyang Agricultural College became a well-known university in the Jiaodong Peninsula. In 2007, it was officially renamed Qingdao Agricultural University. The old campus is located in the University Town of Laiyang City, Shandong Province.

In 2005, Haidu College of Qingdao Agricultural University was approved to be built as an independent college. The new campus is located at No. 11 Wenhua Road, Laixi City, Shandong Province. Construction will start in October 2021, mainly building academic exchange centers, talent apartments, auditoriums, gymnasiums, etc. Construction will be completed and students will be received in September 2023.
