Lingshui Village, Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, Beijing
Lingshui Village is located in Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, Beijing, 78km away from Beijing and 4km away from National Highway 19. Surrounded by mountains. It is 43 meters above sea level, and the village covers an area of 64, square meters. The land is distributed on the hillside around the village. The agricultural economic production is miscellaneous grains, and the dried fruit is famous for walnuts.
The ancestors of Lingshui chose the land to build the village based on the theory of "geomantic omen", and set the "Four Gods Sand" and set Xuanwu (turtle shape) as the village shape. The residents of Lingshui Village are mainly Liu and Tan. Among them, Liu's family kept some documents about Liu's family because an official was Liu Maoheng, a magistrate in Fenzhou, Shanxi Province, during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. Liu Maoheng was born in Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty for four years. There were thirteen generations on it. The distant ancestors were Liu Shoumi and Liu Shouqing, but none of them had been officials. After Liu Maoheng, the order of seniority was teacher, vibration, opening, ring, ru, Han, set and long. The ninth generation is the 83-year-old Liu Changrong in the village, who is still alive. The word "Chang" is the same generation as another word "Zeng" of Liu, and there are four generations of Tian, Feng, Cheng and De below. Based on this calculation, Liu has lived in Lingshui Village for 27 generations.
On August 25th, 1937,-Wei Lihuang fought a big war with the Japanese aggressors in Jishan, when the division headquarters of the 1th Division was located in Lingshui Village. The people made military shoes, uniforms and grain for the Eighth Route Army to support the Anti-Japanese War. Dozens of people took part in the Eighth Route Army in the village, including Liu Tianyin, commander Xiao Ke's bodyguard, Tan Jiu, chief of education of wanping county democratic government, and Wang Shifu, the lyricist of the famous "Wang Jiashan Minor", all of whom were from Lingshui village. This song accused the Japanese of burning Wang Jiashan's atrocities, inspired the people to avenge themselves and hit the Japanese aggressors. The tune was sad and sad, the lyrics were easy to understand, and the local flavor was strong. It played a very good role in propaganda and agitation at that time and has been sung to this day. For the liberation of China people, more than 2 outstanding sons and daughters in Lingshui Village gave their precious lives.
During the War of Liberation, this was the rear base for the liberation of Mentougou. In 1947, land reform was carried out, mutual aid groups were established in 195, and agricultural production cooperatives were established in 1951.
