Synopsis

Julie Baker (played by madeline carroll) sincerely believes in three things: trees are sacred. (especially her favorite buttonwood tree), the eggs laid by the chickens she keeps in the backyard are the most hygienic, and one day she will kiss Bryce Rosky (callan mcauliffe).

When I saw Bryce's blue eyes in the second grade, Julie was hit by him in the heart. Unfortunately, Bryce never had feelings for her. Besides, he thinks Julie is a little strange. How can anyone regard raising chickens and sitting in a tree as fun?

Unexpectedly, by the eighth grade, Bryce began to find Julie attractive because of her unusual interest and pride in her family. Julie, on the other hand, began to think that Bryce's beautiful blue eyes might be as hollow as himself. After all, how can anyone not take others' feelings for trees and chickens seriously?
