Where to go on self-driving tours in Jinan? Jinan travel guide for August 2017

Jinan is located in Shandong Province. It is a famous historical and cultural city and the birthplace of Qilu culture. It once played a great role in the development of Chinese civilization. The weather in Jinan is very hot, but it has various springs. You can come to Jinan

You can taste Shandong cuisine and see the beautiful scenery and beauties. Let me share with you where to go on a self-driving tour in Jinan.

As a person who has lived in Jinan for 24 years, I would like to write a guide for you to visit Jinan.

There are also delicious food and suburban attractions to follow, waiting for me.

You can also find me here.

about: Attractions The most famous places in Jinan are Baotu Spring and Daming Lake. You must not miss these two places when you come to Jinan.

about: Tickets. Of the places I recommend in this article, only Baotu Spring requires tickets. All other places are free. Tickets for Daming Lake have also been canceled in 2017. Everyone can have fun.

Day 1: Route suggestion: Daming Lake - Qushuiting Wangfu Pond - Furong Street - Quancheng Square According to the route, I suggest going to Daming Lake first, then passing through Qushuiting and walking directly into Furong Street, eating some snacks and then visiting

Quancheng Square, and then visit the shopping malls around Quancheng Road.

After dinner in the evening, you can also go to Quancheng Square to watch the night fountain.

Picture 1 is Daming Lake. In fact, the entire scenic spot is built around Daming Lake. Basically, you go in and walk in a big circle around Daming Lake. When you first enter Daming Lake, there will be many people taking pictures by the lake. It is recommended that you go back and look around.

After walking around and taking photos, the scenery is basically the same, and there will be far fewer people taking photos by the lake later, so you can concentrate on taking photos without worrying about being disturbed.

There is a temple in Daming Lake called the Arctic Temple, also known as the Arctic Pavilion.

I suggest you go in and take a look. The layout is similar to the old one, and it is very representative. The long stone slab in front of the North Pole Temple is where most children who grew up in Jinan have played slides.

Over time, two grooves were made on the stone strips by people's buttocks.

Now, because it's so slippery, the park has installed railings on both sides of the slab so people can slow down while sliding.

In recent years, a new scenic spot of Daming Lake has been built around the outskirts of Daming Lake. It is located on the outskirts of Daming Lake Park. Many people who get married usually take wedding photos here, and the scenery is also very good.

The most interesting thing about Daming Lake is that in summer, the frogs in the lake will not cry. As long as the frogs enter Daming Lake, they will not cry.

Legend has it that Emperor Qianlong came to Daming Lake in Jinan and felt that the frogs were noisy, so he issued an imperial edict. From then on, frogs stopped croaking in Daming Lake.

Anyway, there is no way to test this, but the frogs in Daming Lake really don’t cry.

There will be many special snacks from old Jinan in the scenic spots. It is recommended that you try them. One serving is about 10-15 yuan.

After coming out of Daming Lake, I suggest you ask passers-by how to get to Wangfu Pond or Qushui Pavilion. It is strongly recommended to go to Wangfu Pond and Qushui Pavilion to take a look.

I usually come out of the main entrance of Daming Lake, cross the road and walk directly into the Wangfu Pond in the direction of Quancheng Square.

Personally, I think Wangfu Pond is a good representative of Jinan's scenic spots. It has the characteristics of old Jinan, and the surrounding scenic spots are also very beautiful.

Qushui Pavilion and Wangfu Pond, to this day, there are still many old Jinan people living near Qushui Pavilion. The design of the courtyard has the spring water surrounding the house. When you open the door of your home, you will see the spring water at your feet, which is very comfortable.

In the summer, watermelons are also iced with flowing spring water. The watermelon iced with spring water is extremely cold, which is completely different from the watermelon iced in the refrigerator.

You can basically see water after just a few steps here, and the surrounding streets and alleys are also surrounded by springs. Water is really flowing everywhere and the fragrance is everywhere.

There are also restaurants on the street that make tea with spring water. Friends who like to drink tea can give it a try.

When I usually go out with friends, I will definitely go to these two places. There are relatively few people, and I can see the style of old Jinan.

Furong Street, you can walk directly from Qushui Pavilion to Furong Street. There are old Jinan houses along the way. You can visit it, and there is also spring water flowing through it. The scenery looks very comfortable.

Furong Street is a snack street. When you step on the ground of Furong Street, you can feel that there are flowing spring water under the bricks. In summer, sometimes the bricks at the main entrance of Furong Street will seep spring water, which is very clear.

About Furong Street snacks: I have eaten them myself for so many years, and the snacks on Furong Street have changed a lot. I will simply recommend one or two that I often eat. I will make a separate post about Jinan food later.

1. Zhuangyuan Rice Noodles: The soup base of the rice noodles is very refreshing, either a sticky thick soup or a light soup base.

Recommended chicken soup rice noodles and tofu rice noodles for 20 yuan per person.

2coco: This is a national chain and a small internet celebrity. It is a milk tea shop on Furong Street. This is the one I drink more often.

Most of the raw materials are real milk and tea, which are relatively hygienic.
