1. Yuanmingyuan Road
If you want to go to Yuanmingyuan Road, you must see the rich historical buildings in the Bund source.
The buildings in Shanghai are very distinctive. Why do you have to come here? First of all, I have to say that the buildings here are all historical, and most of them were built from 1911 to 1931.
Besides, there are many styles, and most of them belong to foreign customs, such as Gothic style, Renaissance style, neoclassical style, Art Deco style and so on.
The buildings with rich beaches also reflect the inclusiveness of Shanghai. It is really "the building can be read", and there are stories.
It is still constantly upgrading and changing, and it is transforming into a frontier community integrating art, commerce and new technology, exploring an ideal life facing the future. So it's always new, and you will always find different angles.
Punch-in point:
The former Xintian 'an Church, No.79 South Suzhou Road
It's really a movie. There are too many church photo poses on a small book platform, but many of them are Xujiahui churches. Let's try something different and visit this new Tianan Hall.
It was originally called Concord Chapel. After two expansions in 1899 and 1911, it was renamed Xintian 'an Chapel, also known as United Church or United Chapel.
Here's a story (just know a little about it, and it would be better if you could tell it to your friends, who will definitely cast envious eyes): When Shanghai opened its port, two missionaries of London Society, Maddox and Luo Weilin, came to Shanghai. The latter established Yan Chai Hospital, while the former built many priests' houses and offices around the hospital, hence the name "Maijiaquan" on Shandong Road. In 1864, the London Church officially built its first church in Maijiaquan-Tianan Church on Shandong Road, which was later occupied by the extended Yan Chai Hospital. In 1885, the believers raised funds to buy land on the Suzhou River to build a new church, which was built the following year. It was originally called Concord Chapel, and after two expansions in 1899 and 1911, it was renamed Xintian Antang, also known as Union Church or Union Chapel.
Guanglu Building, 142 Huqiu Road
If you wanted to see Hollywood movies, you had to come here. Now there is also a light show in the market, and it has to be on the beach.
Back then, Guanglu Theater was a cinema showing the first round of Hollywood movies, which was located on the ground floor and the second floor of Guanglu Building.
Guanglu Building is also the first building in Shanghai to put a theater in it. It was invested by British businessman Sven Foreign Firm, and the designer was Hungarian architect Hongda, who was as famous as Hudak in Shanghai at that time.
If you can walk around the building as a whole, or if you have a chance to overlook it, you will find that the building is fan-shaped. Of course, it is also beautiful indoors and outdoors, with patterns and reliefs, and it has a decorative art style.
It's great to visit here at night in summer. It's not so hot when the sun goes down, and it's beside the river bank with some breezes. When the light show is on, sitting on the stone steps will be very comfortable. Many ideas can also be seen in the light show, such as Shanghai-style art painter, Le Zhenwen, president of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Democratic National Construction Association, and his wife Zhang Chi, who painted poems into light and shadow, showing "oriental rhyme and Chinese style" in long ink scrolls.
It should be said that the advantages of the old buildings are fully utilized here, combined with the characteristics of the new era. Shanghai's art design is always such a surprise.
Lanxin Building, the 1th floor of Lanxin Building, No.185 Yuanmingyuan Road
Now it is the "Urban Archaeology Laboratory" initiated by the Shanghai historical folk research group "Urban Archaeology", which has been open to the public for a long time and will welcome the "Urban Archaeology Library" in the future.
It has also experienced vicissitudes, because it was once destroyed by a fire. Later, in 1872, it was rebuilt on the original site and became the earliest modern western-style theater building in Shanghai. When the Mi 'en Troupe visited Shanghai in 1891, it staged the "Shakespeare Performance Season" for the first time, which caused quite a stir. In 1927, the building was demolished and rebuilt due to disrepair. This time, although the new building was still named Lanxin, the theater was permanently moved to the present Maoming South Road, which has been preserved to this day.
Therefore, the development of drama in Shanghai and the high acceptance of drama by the public are not without reasons. Although you don't have to watch plays and musicals here now, you can come here for a walk and recall the glory of Shakespeare's performance season.
Zhongan meifeng Building, No.118, beijing east road?
It is said that Zhong 'an meifeng Building has become one of the most special and topical buildings.
why is it topical and controversial? Maybe it's because it's too personal.
In the design based on conservation and renewal by British architect David Chipfield, it presents a "stitched body"-the lower half of the building retains the original Victorian-style fair-faced brick wall building facade, the bottom floor is an open art exhibition space, the second floor is a commercial space, and the third floor is used for office; The upper part of the building is a 14-storey office building which is adjacent to the historical brick facade and extends upwards by 11 floors. The facade continues the original proportion, and the volume retreats in different directions, with staggered blocks and various forms, forming a friendly relationship with the surrounding urban historical space.
We may not be able to describe these buildings with our usual sense of beauty and ugliness. Designers have their own ideas and personalities in architecture. So it is better to appreciate them with uniqueness.
Shanghai Bund Art Museum, No.21, Huqiu Road?
Today, people only know that there is a Yuanmingyuan Road in Waitanyuan. In fact, its real name is Xiayuanmingyuan Road, which means that there was once a sister road called Shangyuanmingyuan Road, which is today's Huqiu Road.
From "Shangyuanmingyuan Road" to "Huqiu Road", the middle of this road was once called "Museum Road".
in p>2111, the bund art museum was completed. It has also become another punching resort, and it is also the place we must go on this road. However, usually people don't care much about the history here, as long as they have taken photos and punched in. Sometimes tourists are not necessarily in a bad mood, but they have a lot of fun.
2. Composite line (longer)
Route: Huqiu Road (Bei Haodeng Gallery)-beijing east road (Shamei Building)-Sichuan Middle Road-Sichuan Road and Bridge-Shanghai Post Museum-North Suzhou River-Zhapu Road and Bridge-Yuanmingyuan Road (Bund Source)-beijing east road
Generally speaking, this line.
go into battle lightly, but also go shopping slowly. You may not have to go shopping all at once, but you can also come separately. For example, if you visit a certain place in a day, write it down, and then start directly from this point next time, and then visit the back. It is not bad to visit it several times. The main thing is not to be too tired. Going out to play hot and tired will affect your mood and experience. When you are tired, just sit down in the coffee shop and have a cup of coffee slowly. There will still be a lack of coffee shops in Shanghai.
this route can also be planted with grass first, and it may be more comfortable to walk and ride a bike when the weather is a little cooler and it is convenient to ride a bike after a while.
Punching point of Huqiu Road: Beihaodeng Gallery
Although Huqiu Road is only 334 meters, there are many places worth staying on. I recommend all art lovers to go to No.27 Huqiu Road. In fact, all three galleries here are worth visiting.
The Behauden Gallery on the 3rd floor has excellent evaluation, and basically has full marks. Exhibitions are constantly changing, so you can pay attention to some platforms and get to know some exhibition information in time.
beijing east road punch point: Shamei Building
All the way to the west, you can take a long-distance photo of the Oriental Pearl.
After that, you can walk to the junction of beijing east road and Sichuan Middle Road, which is the Shamei Building, which is known as the "most mysterious building" on the Bund! This baroque-style building is five stories high, with stone veneer and facade elements emphasizing curves and reliefs.
its mystery is reflected in the past history, and now everyone knows a lot about it.
Sichuan Middle Road Punch Point: Shanghai Petroleum No.1 Gas Station
In p>1948, the gas station was built and started to operate, which broke the monopoly of oil sales market by three foreign businessmen, Mobil, Texaco and Asia. A punch-in point that is enough to make Chinese people proud. It's better to put a thumb up here and praise it manually. You don't have to compare.
Punching point of Sichuan Road and Bridge: Shanghai Post Museum
Sichuan Road and Bridge, also known as "Libaidu Bridge", connects Huangpu and Hongkou districts, and is a veritable photo-taking point in online celebrity.
standing here, looking for an angle, maybe you can shoot all the "Lujiazui Four-piece Set".
punch-in point on the riverside of North Suzhou: Zhapu Road and Bridge, the source of riverside
Starting from the Postal Museum, you will walk along the riverside line of North Suzhou River Road and pass through three characteristic sections-Messenger Garden Section of Postal Museum, Time Garden Section of Polaroid Hotel and Blue Garden of Dreams Section of Shanghai Building.
It may already be night here. The night in Shanghai is beautiful and brightly lit, and the trees and flowers along the road are not bad. However, it is also recommended to walk again during the day, so that the building will be photographed more clearly and some subtle designs on the building can be seen.
Day and night have their own characteristics, so let's have a look.
