Day 1:
First stop: Longmen Grottoes, a world cultural heritage
Transportation: Take bus No.53 and arrive at the Longmen Grottoes at the terminal. It usually only takes about 4 minutes. The public transportation in Luoyang is generally 1 yuan or 1.5 yuan, and it is coin-operated by itself. After arriving at the station, you need to go through many shops selling souvenirs and handicrafts. If you are interested, you can buy them after visiting the scenic spots. One thing to recommend is the handmade ginger candy there.
Play: Tickets for Longmen Grottoes are in 12 yuan, and students are in 6 yuan with their student ID cards. Longmen Grottoes is a must-see attraction in Luoyang, which is a world cultural heritage. It is divided into Xishan Grottoes and Dongshan Grottoes. In addition, there are Xiangshan and Baiyuan (Bai Juyi's former residence, where Bai Juyi lived in his later years, and named Xiangshan Jushi) on the other side of Dongshan. Dongshan and Xishan are separated by an Yi River, and this is where the legendary carp yue longmen is located. There are tens of thousands of shrines of different sizes in the Xishan Grottoes. The biggest nature is the legendary Buddha statue based on Wu Zetian. I won't go into details, but you will know when you go to see it. I should remind you that it is best to have a tour guide to explain it, so you can feel more when you listen to the stories of those niches.
Eat: There are many restaurants at the gate of the scenic spot after getting off the bus. You can try the famous Luoyang water mat. It is said that Premier Zhou praised delicious dishes, such as peony and swallow vegetables. The most famous shop in Luoyang Shuixi is called "Really Different", which is not far from the west of our hostel. It is really different when you get off the No.53 bus. If the price is too high, there are many water mat halls in the snack street behind Zhentong, such as taking care of drinking water.
Second stop: Baima Temple
Transportation: After eating water mat in Zhentong, take bus No.56 back to the terminal Baima Temple, which is in the suburb of Luoyang. It takes about 2 minutes to take bus No.56. Go back to your place after the end.
Play: Tickets for the White Horse Temple are in 5 yuan, and students get half discount in 25 yuan. Baima Temple is the first temple built after Buddhism was introduced into China. It is the first ancient temple in China, and Tang Xuanzang, the Tang priest in the Journey to the West, whose hometown is Luoyang Yanshi. Now Xuanzang's hometown scenic spot is still under construction. This White Horse Temple has a long history with Xuanzang. If you pray, it is said to be very effective. You can also buy some incense to worship. Incense is actually not expensive, but don't be cheated by those outside who pull you in and say they want to help you open the incense. The so-called opening requires money. Qianmo believes that praying for Buddha depends on your sincerity, not money.
Eating: The recommended place is the Tashi Garden Barbecue City. N What a delicious barbecue!
Third stop: Tashi Garden Barbecue City
Transportation: Because Tashi Barbecue City is also in the suburbs, the transportation is inconvenient. When you get out of Baima Temple, you can take bus No.58 or bus No.56, go through 9 stops, go to Tangsimen Station, then take bus No.41 to Qilin Road Station on Qiming South Road, and walk about 84 meters to Tashi Garden Barbecue City.
Eat: I came to Tashi Garden just to have a barbecue. There is a chubby barbecue that seems to be the best. Of course, you can choose it yourself! Because it is located in Changhe District of Luoyang, there are many Hui people in the river-producing area, so the barbecues in Tashi Garden are all halal. But it still tastes good! Grilled fish, barbecue, endless aftertaste!
The next day:
Fourth stop: Wangcheng Park, enjoying peony
Transportation: Take the No.9 bus from the opposite side of Yijia Hostel to Wangcheng Park. About 2 minutes or so.
Play: Tickets for Wangcheng Park are adjusted according to the peony flower period, with full-price 5 yuan from April 9 to 26, and 4 yuan from the 26th to May 5. Now you can buy 2% discount tickets on Taobao. There are peony gardens in Wangcheng Park, and there are many kinds of peony, so you can enjoy them. Before entering the garden again, you can watch a small performance, which is in ancient costume, because it was only during the peony flower show. You can also enjoy flower arrangement works in the park. There are zoos and playgrounds.
Eating: After visiting Wangcheng Park in the morning and enjoying the peony, you can go to Lijingmen, the old city of Luoyang to eat a hundred bowls of mutton soup. This is highly recommended. It tastes very good! And it's not expensive. A product of mutton soup from 15 yuan can make you full and satisfied.
Fifth stop: Old Town, Lijingmen
Transportation: After coming out of Wangcheng Park, take the No.9 bus to the Lijingmen. In fact, our hostel is very close to Lijingmen, with only two stops, so it is recommended to walk back along the river after visiting the old town in the afternoon. Remember to bring a map!
play: you don't need tickets for the old town, but you need tickets to enter the tower of Lijingmen, but it's not expensive, it's estimated to be more than ten yuan. Up there, it doesn't matter whether you can go or not. When you get to the old city, there are hundreds of bowls of mutton soup mentioned above as soon as you enter the door. Let's have lunch first!
There are many antique markets in the old city. Friends who like this should have a good look around. There are also many snacks and gadgets. You can buy them here if you need to bring souvenirs back to your relatives and friends. When I first went to the old city, my friend said that the bottom of the old city was empty and Luoyang was full of historical sites. I didn't go to verify whether his words were true or false, but I felt different when I visited the old city later, haha.
Eating: There are many snacks in the old city, so you can eat them slowly. Of course, there are many restaurants like 1 bowls of mutton soup that you can eat casually.
Sixth stop: Water Music Fountain
Transportation: Take bus No.53 and get off at Luoyang New District Municipal Government.
Play: This water music fountain is said to be the largest in Asia. In terms of area, it is known as the first fountain in Asia. Whenever there is a holiday, the music fountain will be performed around 8 pm, and it is free. And it's really spectacular. You might as well enjoy the night view.
Day 3:
Seventh stop: Mangshan, Luoyang Ancient Art Museum (Tomb Museum)
Transportation: Take bus No.5 or No.41 to the railway station, and then take bus No.83 to the Tomb Museum. It takes about half an hour to take bus no.83.
Play: The full entrance fee for the Tomb Museum is 15 to 2 yuan. Tickets are free in the off-season. Now this museum is called the Museum of Ancient Art, which used to be called the Tomb Museum. In fact, I think the name of the Tomb Museum is more emotional. The museum is in the famous Mangshan Mountain! Everyone has heard a saying: "There is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below". In fact, there is another saying: "Born in Suzhou and Hangzhou, buried in Beimang Mountain", which is the Mangshan Mountain. There are many imperial tombs in Mangshan, and there is an original tomb in the ancient tomb museum. There are several tomb-guarding beasts in front of the tomb. When you enter the tomb, you will find that the tomb is dome-shaped. There are many tomb exhibitions with different styles in the museum, which are said to have been moved here.
There is also a small hint. If you pay attention to the scenery on both sides when you get off the bus and walk into the museum, you will get unexpected gains. The story about peony being demoted to Mangshan in Luoyang may be just a legend, but Mangshan is indeed a place suitable for planting peony, so there are actually many flower farmers planting large areas of peony on Mangshan, and the scenery is no less than some peony parks. There are also some orchards where you can go directly into the garden to pick fruits and buy them by the catty.
Eating: There is nothing to eat around here. So it's better to go back to the city and eat again. After arriving at the railway station, take the No.61 bus to Xinduhui, which is a shopping place and of course there are many restaurants.
Eighth stop: Visit Luopu Park and go boating on the Luohe River
Transportation: After coming back from the Tomb Museum, you will arrive at Dingding Overpass in Luopu Park. If you eat at Xinduhui, then take the No.61 bus to Dingding Overpass Station or China National Garden Station and walk to Luopu Park.
Play: Luopu Park is free. It is 16 kilometers long and built along the Luohe River, with beautiful scenery. The god of Luohe is Fu Fei, the god of Luohe. Fu Fei was originally the daughter of Fu Xishi. Because of her infatuation with the beautiful scenery on both sides of Luohe, she came to earth and came to the bank of Luohe. There is also a legend of Luoshen Fu in the Three Kingdoms among the people. It can be seen how the scenery on both sides of Luohe is.
The closest way to feel the Luohe River is naturally to go boating on the Luohe River. There are boats that can be rented in Luopu Park. It takes about an hour for 1 yuan to paddle into the Luohe River. It's very interesting!
Supplement: You can adjust your itinerary according to your preference and time. The above three-day tour strategy will make you comfortable. There are many museums in Luoyang, but I think it is the most cost-effective to go to the ancient tomb museum in a limited time. One thing to add is that many businessmen don't want to miss Guanlin Temple when they come to Luoyang. Guanlin Temple is the place where Guan Yu's head is buried. Tickets are around 3 yuan, and the traffic is convenient. It is the same as the route to Longmen, so get off at Guanlin midway.
after dinner on the third day, I'm afraid you have to catch the train back. Then your three-day trip to Luoyang will be completely over. Then, please take your luggage and good memories with Luoyang and return to your life.
