I am a local aboriginal in Zhejiang, so I will try to share my travel guide to Wuzhen to facilitate your travel.
Introduction to the scenic spot: Wuzhen, an ancient, magical and beautiful land, a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, where you can enjoy complete relaxation of mind and body when you come to Wuzhen.
The night here is particularly quiet and beautiful. Although there are many shops, the unified management of the scenic spot is in place. It is not noisy like some ancient towns. It is very quiet here and you can savor the feeling of small bridges and flowing water.
There is a direct bus from Hangzhou to Wuzhen Dongxizha Scenic Area for 35/person. You can buy it in advance on Zhixing. It takes about an hour and a half.
Xizha is a relatively well-developed attraction in Wuzhen. Tickets are 150 per person, Dongzha is 110 per person, and a combined ticket for East and West is 190 (only for the same day, although the price is favorable, it is basically impossible to visit in one day, and the schedule is tight), half price for students.
The ticket is valid for the same day and can only be entered once. You can choose to play according to your own time.
Personally, I recommend visiting Xizha.
Accommodation: B&Bs near Xizha Scenic Area are relatively clean and the owners are very enthusiastic and can provide pick-up and drop-off services. Hotels in the scenic area are generally more expensive.
You can go inside or outside the scenic area. I lived outside the scenic area and played until I took the boat back at night. The scenic areas are concentrated together and are very close, so there is no need to worry.
Check-in route: Wuzhen Grand Theater - Mu Xin Art Museum - Grass and Tree Dyeing Workshop - Mao Dun Memorial Hall - Yuelao Temple - Back to Time Red Winery - Oar Boat Night Tour When traveling to Wuzhen, you can take a leisurely stroll on the streets
When you are hesitant, you don’t have to stick to which scenic spot to go to. Every place is worthy of your stop and appreciation.
Wuzhen Grand Theater is located on the bank of Yuanbao Lake at the entrance of Xizha Scenic Area. It is known as the most beautiful theater in China. The outside of the theater is decorated with thick Beijing bricks and old ship wood and ice-cracked window lattice, which complements the historical charm of the Jiangnan water town.
Mu Xin Art Museum? One of the most beautiful art museums in China, a landmark building in the cultural Wuzhen. It fully displays Mr. Mu Xin’s paintings, manuscripts and documentaries. There are also some souvenirs for purchase. I really like the saying in the art museum:
It’s so cute, it’s worthy of angels descending to earth.” Herbal Dyeing Workshop? China’s blue calico is world-famous, and Wuzhen is one of the origins of blue calico. The Herbal Dyeing Workshop in Xizha has a demonstration of pulp dyeing using indigo grass as raw material.
Blue calico craftsmanship, the outside is covered with blue calico, it has a very simple and elegant feel, and it is very interesting to take pictures.
You can watch the dyeing process in the museum and participate in the whole process experience, which is very interesting.
The small courtyard of Mao Dun Memorial Hall is a typical courtyard house. The building has a sense of design and is worth a visit.
The entire exhibition hall takes the road of life and literature as the main line, showing the magnificent life of Mr. Mao Dun.
The manuscripts and letters of Mr. Contradiction's life are displayed in detail in stages in the former residence.
There are four players in the exhibition hall. You can listen to Mr. Mao Dun's story about the origin of his pen name "Mao Dun" and the beginning of his creative career.
In front of the Yuelao Temple, there are blessing plaques hanging on both sides of the stone road. The branches are very beautiful when shining in the sun. You can ask for a fortune here. Couples must come here to pray for a good marriage.
Lost Time Winery? The moment the night falls on thousands of lanterns, the entire Xizha seems to be covered in colorful clothes. At this time, find a bar on the river bank, order a glass of sake, listen to the intoxicating folk songs, and watch
Watching people coming and going outside the window is a unique experience.
Night cruise on a rowing boat? Chartered boat, 1.280 yuan/one way, limited to 3 people; 2.480 yuan/one way, limited to 8 people. You can share a boat with others. Be sure to take a rowing boat when you come to Wuzhen. This ancient place
It is ancient, quiet and remote, and lives up to its reputation as a water town. You must spend a whole day to see the night view.
After nightfall in Xizha, the river is hazy with smoke and boats, and you can listen to the flower-drum opera. Thousands of lanterns on the shore are lit up at night, and beautiful reflections are reflected on the river. The water and night colors are everywhere, adding a touch of mystery.
After shopping, take a awning boat out, listen to the slow sound of rowing boats, and admire the gentle Jiangnan water town, as if you are in a painting.
The cultural landscape attractions in the tourist area are relatively dense, and some are even smaller. For example, Wang Huiwu Memorial Hall, Mao Dun Memorial Hall and Kong Bijing Memorial Hall are right next to each other, so although there are many on the map, it is also very fast to play.
We stayed in Nanzha for more than an hour at 11 o'clock, walking for about 20 minutes in the middle, and arrived at Xizha at around 1 noon. After shopping more carefully and thoroughly, we basically walked around at 6 o'clock in the evening.
Except for Muxin Art Museum, all attractions in Wuzhen Scenic Area are free of charge.
