Alleyne is more than120km away from downtown Dubai. As an important town in the eastern province of Abu Dhabi, Alleyne is not a separate emirate, but belongs to Abu Dhabi and the hometown of Sheikh Zayed, the first emirate. Unlike other Emirates, Alleyne, with its springs and green trees, has always been called the Garden City of the Bay and the Hot Springs Capital of the Middle East.

Alleyne is the largest oasis in the United Arab Emirates, and 90% of the country's fresh water comes from here, which is a touch of green in the desert.
