Tips
Address: Sier Tibetan Township, Pingwu County.
Travel strategy: driving+hiking
Step1: driving
Starting from Mianyang: via Anxian–Xinbeichuan–Leigu Town–Yuli Township–Piankou Township–Baiyang Township–Sier Tibetan Township (the whole journey is about 145 kilometers, and the driving time is 3.5 hours).
departure from Pingwu: via Nanba–Pingtong Town–Guixi Township–Chenjiaba Township–Laobeichuan–Yuli Township–Piankou Township–Baiyang Township–Sier Tibetan Township (the whole journey is about 21 kilometers, and the driving time is 4.5 hours).
On the Yuli-Sier section, the road is narrow and tortuous, so you need to drive slowly. In addition, the roads from Sierchang Town to various scenic spots are mostly unpaved roads, so parents should choose off-road vehicles as far as possible.)
Step1: After walking to Sierchang Town, you can rest and stay in the town for one night, contact the guide and horses in advance, and learn about the local culture, climate and surrounding scenery. It is best to walk up the mountain the next morning.
Drive from Sierchang Town to Daijiashan of Xiaogou Formation, about 5 kilometers, and the driving time is about 15 minutes (dirt road); After arriving at Daijiashan, you can walk to Yuancaotang on the forest path, passing through virgin forest, mountain ridge, stream, rhododendron forest, ancient pine forest, etc., which requires abundant physical fitness and hiking skills. It takes about 2 kilometers to walk for about 5 hours.
Special note:
1. For the first time, you need a local guide. The guide can show you the way and provide horse consignment materials. Guides are familiar with the terrain, so it will be safer and more convenient to have them with them.
2. Necessary items:
* Drugs: commonly used drugs, altitude sickness drugs, anti-mosquito drugs, trauma drugs and first aid kits.
* clothing: the temperature difference between morning and evening on the grass is very large, so you need to bring a thick coat in summer.
* food: bring cooked food as much as possible (no fire is allowed in the protected area, and the water source is far away). You can bring rice and meat products appropriately, pick wild vegetables in the mountains and go back to the base camp to enjoy delicious food. Bring chocolate and other snacks to replenish energy.
* backpacks (with water covers), tents, sleeping bags, moisture-proof mats, cameras, anti-ultraviolet sunglasses, flashlights, spare batteries, charging treasures, etc.
