American airports:
The oldest airport in the world is controversial at present, but College Park Airport, which was established in 1909 and located in Maryland, USA, is the oldest airport in the world and is still in continuous operation, although it is only a small airport.
Nanning Wuxu International Airport, another airport with the longest history in the world, is bisbee-Douglas International Airport in Arizona, USA, where the first plane in American history is parked. 1908, Douglas Aviation Club was established, and so was the glider.
At that time, the glider was towed by two horses and flew behind the Douglas YMCA building. 1909, airplanes began to be equipped with motors and propellers, and Arizona became the first region with powered airplanes. A letter from President Roosevelt confirmed the status of the airport as the first international airport in the United States, in which the President declared it "the first international airport in the United States".
