1, different growth environment
The growth environment of oxtail fish is different from that of diced yellow pepper fish. Oxtail fish have higher requirements for living environment. They don't like turbid water, and prefer to live in a place with clean water and clear water. So in the waters with cliffs or stones, you can often see them.
2. Different sizes
Generally speaking, the growth length of oxtail fish is longer than that of yellow pepper diced fish, the length of oxtail fish can reach 1m, and the weight of wild oxtail fish can even reach about 3kg. However, regardless of body length or weight, the whole diced yellow pepper is small.
3. Different tastes
Although oxtail fish and diced yellow pepper look very similar, they taste completely different. Compared with diced yellow pepper, oxtail fish is smoother and tastes better.
Step 4: Different shapes
Compared with Pelteobagrus fulvidraco, oxtail fish has a longer body, thinner tail and narrower mouth. Diced yellow pepper is short and thick with a pointed tail, which is the biggest difference between oxtail fish and yellow catfish. Secondly, the head width of oxtail fish is obviously larger than the head height, the back and sides of the body are grayish yellow, the abdomen is white, and the ends of dorsal fin and caudal fin are black. The head of diced yellow pepper is slightly larger and vertically flat, the back is dark brown, and the abdomen is gradually yellowish, so it likes to live near the sediment.
Living habits of diced yellow pepper.
During the day, they lurk underwater or in crevices of rocks, move for food at night and gather in deep water in winter. Strong adaptability, even in the harsh environment can survive, even 5 ~ 6 hours without death. Diced yellow pepper has strong hypoxia tolerance. When dissolved oxygen is more than 2 mg/L, it can survive normally, when dissolved oxygen is less than 2 mg/L, it appears floating head, and when it is 1 mg/L, it appears suffocation ... Diced yellow pepper is suitable for alkaline waters, with the optimum pH range of 7.0 ~ 8.5 and the tolerance range of 6.0 ~ 9.0.
The survival water temperature of diced yellow pepper is 1 ~ 38℃, and when the temperature is 0℃, it shows discomfort. When it is submerged in water, it rarely moves and its breathing is weak. It took three days to die. Discomfort occurred at 39℃. The fish lost its balance, with its head up and tail down, and its breathing became weak from fast to weak, and it died about 1 day.
In the range of 8 ~ 36℃, the temperature has little effect on the survival rate of diced yellow pepper, but it has a great relationship with its growth. Although diced yellow pepper can eat a little at low temperature, it basically does not grow. Its growth temperature ranges from16 to 34℃, and the optimum range is from 22 to 28℃.
