Can yeast powder be used to make cat ears? How to cook well?

You can add yeast powder or baking soda to the cat's ears, which will be more fluffy and crisp than without adding it. But you can also do it successfully without adding yeast powder, so you can do it according to your existing materials.

Let me share my method (adding yeast powder) for you.

Method

1. Take two equal flours and put them in bowls (ordinary flours are enough). Here, I use the bowls that I usually eat, one for each. Then add 1 gram of yeast powder to each bowl of flour.

2. Take 3 spoons of brown sugar, pour in appropriate amount of boiling water to melt and cool, pour into one bowl of flour, and stir to form smooth dough. This dough needs to be softer. Then put it aside and wake up for ten minutes.

3. Next, mix with another dough. Pour a proper amount of water or pure milk into the flour (pouring milk will make it fragrant and taste better) to synthesize smooth dough, and then wake up for more than ten minutes. This dough needs to be a little harder and easier to shape.

4. Roll the white and yellow doughs into rectangles with the same size, then brush a little water on the white dough, and then spread the yellow dough (brush water to make the two doughs stick together more tightly, but don't add too much water)

5. Roll up the two doughs slowly from one section, which needs to be rolled firmly. Then take it to freeze for 2 hours.

6. Take out the dough and slice it. (The thickness of each piece is about 2 mm)

7. Heat the oil pan to 5% oil temperature, and then fry it in the pan. The whole process is slowly fried with a small fire, and it takes several times to fry until golden brown.

so the cat's ears are ready. If you don't bother, you can also put it in syrup and wrap it in anti-sand, which will be sweeter.

the following important steps need special attention, which will make it easier to succeed.

1. The dough should not be too soft, or it will not be crisp if it is fried.

2. There is no need to ferment the yeast, just to make it fluffy and crisp, so don't wake up for too long.

3. The rolled dough should be frozen for 2 hours. How to test whether it freezes successfully? As long as you pick it up from the middle, the sides will not fall.

4. Slices should not be too thick, or the fried ones will not taste so good.
