There are many pictures of pistachio growth on the Internet, most of which are untrue. The year before last, when I visited the local jujube industry in tiemenguan, Xinjiang with the inspection team, I saw a factory there, which I didn't know at that time. I didn't know it was a famous happy fruit tree until I asked. It was early August, and the pistachios were not mature yet. Pistachio nuts are still green, only the tip of the fruit is a little reddish brown. The fruit grower said that I could see them picking pistachios a month later.

Happy fruit tree, also known as hazelnut tree, has the characteristics of drought resistance, barren resistance, low temperature resistance and high temperature resistance. When traveling to Xinjiang, the locals told me that happy fruit trees can be planted where jujube trees can be planted. In general, the yield of each tree can reach 120 kilograms in the full fruit period. Since so many places can be planted, why are pistachios so expensive? After inquiring, I learned that the planting of happiness trees is simple, but there are few seedlings and long fruiting period. Generally, it takes six or seven years from planting to fruiting, and it is impossible for ordinary people to accept that such a long period of time will not benefit, so the planting area of pistachios has not been particularly large.

I query collected some data and found that happy fruit trees have been planted in China for more than 1000 years. At present, it is mainly distributed in parts of Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia, because most of these areas have afforestation plans. According to the information, it is also planted in Hebei province, but I haven't found a specific planting park yet, otherwise I can see for myself how the output and benefits are.

As a very good dried fruit and oil crop, pistachio has good benefits at present. However, I also learned that "pistachios are delicious but not easy to pick", because apart from the long waiting time for fruit planting, pistachios also have a disadvantage that they need a lot of manpower when picking, and they need to be picked one by one every year after ripening, and they also need better drying and processing conditions after picking. Therefore, if you plan to plant, these must be considered in advance.
