Sanren decoction, one of which comes from Treatise on Epidemic Febrile Diseases in Qing Dynasty, is a prescription for clearing away heat and dampness in dampness-removing agents, which has the effects of promoting qi movement, clearing away heat and promoting diuresis, and can be used to treat damp-warm diseases with dampness being heavier than heat.

Visible symptoms are: headache, aversion to pain, heavy body pain, chest tightness, no hunger, body heat in the afternoon, pale complexion, white tongue without thirst, thin and moist pulse. This prescription consists of eight herbs, namely: almond, Amomum villosum, Coix seed, Pinellia ternata, Magnolia officinalis, talc, medulla tetrapanacis and bamboo leaves.
