The place where ships take shelter from typhoons is called a typhoon shelter.
Typhoon shelters are used as shelters for small and medium-sized boats to withstand strong winds and large waves when typhoons hit. In addition, typhoon shelters are also used for berthing yachts (the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter in Hong Kong is used for this purpose). Some typhoon shelters are also used by ships for loading and unloading cargo.
