Western Baked Tilapia Directions ?
Wash the tilapia fillets (if frozen, please thaw naturally and don't microwave) and absorb the water with kitchen paper towel.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees F (350 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, lay the fish flat on it, and poke and prod it with a fork to make small, even holes on both sides of the fish.
Coat the fish evenly with olive oil, salt and pepper, preferably first. Sprinkle the top layer with oregano.
Cut the lemon into chunks (just squeeze the juice easily) squeeze the lemon juice, without the seeds, and drizzle it over the entire fish. Place the squeezed lemon in the baking dish as well.
Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes, remove from the oven but do not turn off the oven
Mix the three sauces with a little bit of the sauce and a very little bit of drinking water and spread evenly on the upward facing side of the fish, the holes that you have made will help to absorb it. Continue in the oven for 2-3 minutes
Carefully use a spatula to move the fish to a plate and arrange the broccoli. The lemon juice will come out of the oven, so don't waste it by pouring it over the fish when it comes out of the oven.Tah-dah! Too much pepper can ruin the flavor
The oregano can be sprinkled after the lemon juice has been applied
Don't flip the fish in the middle of the process
The sauce can be as creative as you want it to be
