The ready-to-eat sea cucumbers are generally fresh sea cucumbers, which can be stored in the fresh-keeping layer of the refrigerator at 0~4℃ for about 3 months, and those that have not been eaten after opening the bag need to be frozen and stored for up to 12 months.
3, freeze-dried sea cucumber
Freeze-dried sea cucumber is dry sea cucumber processed in vacuum environment, which retains the original flavor of seafood to the maximum extent, and the nutrition of sea cucumber is easier for human body to fully absorb and utilize, completely retaining the nutritional components of sea cucumber, with extremely low water content and the highest nutritional components. Freeze-dried sea cucumber does not need to be placed in refrigerator, but can be sealed in a dry place, and can be stored at room temperature for 2-3 years.
Unless the freeze-dried sea cucumber is inferior or dry sea cucumber, some merchants will prompt to put it in the refrigerator. Because of the fear of high temperature, dry sea cucumber must be kept in the refrigerator, but the taste and value are far less than those of freeze-dried sea cucumber. Please pay attention to this!
4. Semi-dry salted sea cucumber
Salted sea cucumbers are dehydrated with salt when they are processed. This method is convenient for transportation and storage, and the price is cheap, but the shelf life is not long, and it is easy to cause nutrient loss after being bought, so semi-dry salted sea cucumbers must be stored in the refrigerator.
5. Fresh sea cucumbers
Sea cucumber lives in deep water and is very sensitive to light and high temperature, and the salinity of seawater is also a factor to ensure the life of sea cucumber. If it is exposed to sunlight and high temperature for a long time, sea cucumber will slowly melt into a pool of water. Fresh sea cucumbers should be treated quickly when they are bought.
