According to the different characteristics of mycelium, this stage usually takes about 30~60 days, and even as long as 80 days for individual strains, which is extremely inconvenient in production arrangement and greatly prolongs the production cycle.

Short-term cultivation techniques with high quality and high yield and manual control measures can greatly shorten the after-ripening period. The basic method is to adjust the temperature to about 30℃ to make the mycelium fully develop, and then cool down. For example, it is very practical to move the fungus bag into a cold storage and keep it at 0℃~ 10℃ for about 15 days, so that the mycelium can form self-protection under relatively uncomfortable conditions.
