The tail is short, black on the back and white on the belly. Summer hair brownish-yellow, all over the distinctive white plum blossom spots, rump spot white, so called "plum deer".
The sika deer lives at the edge of forests or in mountainous grassland areas. Seasons are different, the habitat also changed. The stag usually lives alone, and returns to the group during the rut and mating. Morning and evening activities, to grass and leaves for food, good licking salt and alkali. One fawn per litter, with white spots on the young. It is mainly found in China, Japan and Russia.
The horse deer is second only to the moose in the large deer, *** there are 10 subspecies, because the body shape like a horse and so named, the body is dark brown, back and sides have some white spots. Summer hair is shorter, no velvet, generally russet, darker on the back, lighter on the belly, so there is a "red deer".
