(2) colonization. When the seedlings grow to 9 ~12 true leaves, plant spacing is 25 ~ 40 cm and row spacing is 25 ~ 40 cm. The higher the density, the smaller the fleshy roots. Root system is not easy to recover after injury, so measures should be taken to protect and promote roots before and after planting, so as to facilitate root system recovery and promote seedling survival.
(3) Field management. In the early growth stage after the survival of the seedlings, the seedlings grow slowly and need little water. After proper topdressing and watering, shallow water intertillage should be carried out to keep the field soil moist and make the topsoil slightly dry, that is, dry on the top and wet on the bottom.
In the vigorous growth period after planting, topdressing should be done for 2 ~ 3 times, and the amount of watering should be increased to ensure the supply of water and nutrients, so as to promote the expansion of roots and the timely expansion of fleshy roots.
During the growth period, the old leaves and lateral branches should be removed in time. During the expansion period of fleshy roots, the rhizosphere soil can be peeled off and the fleshy lateral roots can be trimmed with a knife to make the main roots grow hypertrophy, with smooth surface and neat shape.
(4) harvesting. Root celery should be harvested at the right time, which will affect its yield and quality too early or too late. The suitable storage temperature is 0 ~1℃.
