1. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Cao led Wei Jun to conquer Wudong territory, and Zhou Yu of Wu Dong was stationed in Chibi, facing Cao Jun across the river. Wei Jun, a northerner, is not used to water warfare. Cao Cao ordered all the boats to be connected so that the soldiers could practice water fighting before going out. Zhou Yu knew, and was very anxious. So Huang Gai set a bitter plan and surrendered to Cao Cao in order to attack by fire. Zhou Yu agreed. So Huang Gai wrote to Cao Cao, saying that Zhou Yu had overreached himself and Wu Jun would fail. He is willing to take food and grass to find Cao Cao, and Cao Cao is of course very happy. On this day, the southeast wind blew very hard. Cao Cao came to the river to meet Huang Gai, only to see a group of warships coming from the river. The flag says "yellow". Cao Cao said that Huang Gai had defected and was unprepared. It turned out that the ship was full of flammable materials. When the ship was less than two miles from Wei Jun, Zhou Yu's soldiers fired rockets and set the ship on fire. The fireboat rushed into the water village in Cao Jun, and Cao Cao immediately fell into a sea of fire. Wei Jun suffered numerous casualties. Cao Cao's surviving soldiers had no intention of fighting and had to take them away.
