I often hear friends say that I don't know what to eat for breakfast in summer. Our food culture in China is extensive and profound, and there are many kinds of food, such as steamed buns, steamed bread, jiaozi, fried dough sticks, soybean milk, rice noodles, noodles and various kinds of porridge. But in dog days, people often drink cold drinks and eat ice cream to cool off the heat, which is easy to hurt the spleen and stomach. It is best to eat some foods that strengthen the spleen and nourish the stomach for breakfast, such as yam and Euryale ferox.
My family often drinks pumpkin yam rice paste recently, which is sweet and delicate, nutritious and digestible, much better than rice porridge and soybean milk. Pumpkin and yam are excellent alkaline coarse grains with rich nutrition and low calories. Making breakfast and drinking a cup every day is good for the spleen and stomach and helps families spend the summer easily. Today, I will share with you the practice of pumpkin yam rice paste. The ingredients to be prepared are: pumpkin 150g, yam 50g, a handful of glutinous rice, proper amount of sugar and water. Here is the weight of one person, which can be doubled at home.
Step 1: Grab a handful of glutinous rice and wash it. Soak in warm water for about 10 minute. Glutinous rice can also be turned into rice.
Step 2: Peel the pumpkin, remove the pulp and seeds, wash and drain. You can use half of the remaining pumpkins when cooking at home, and it looks better with old pumpkins.
Step 3: Cut the pumpkin into small pieces or dices, the finer the better. Young pumpkins look a bit like cantaloupes. Carotenoids in pumpkin can protect eyesight, and fructose can protect gastric mucosa and avoid being stimulated by rough food. So eating pumpkin and yam together has a good therapeutic effect on the spleen and stomach.
Step 4: Wash the yam, peel it and cut it into dices. There is a kind of mucus in yam, which will cause one's fingers to itch after skin contact. It is recommended to wear disposable gloves or separate them with plastic bags.
Step 5: Put pumpkin pieces, yam pieces and soaked glutinous rice into the soymilk machine, add appropriate amount of sugar according to personal taste, and add water to the highest water level.
Step 6: Select the soybean milk program and wait for completion. You can also use the wall-breaking machine with heating function.
Step 7: When the soybean milk prompt sounds, you can drink the sweet and delicate pumpkin yam rice paste.
