In fact, I have filmed many food-related movie programs. Recently there was Nicholas Tse's "The God of Cookery", and in the early days there was Leslie Cheung's "The Man-Han Banquet", but my favorite is Stephen Chow's "The God of Cookery". I think Stephen Chow's "The God of Cookery" has a more novel theme and is more compact and not boring to watch. Other food-related movies made me a little embarrassed to watch.
Stephen Chow's "God of Cookery" is different from other food movie programs. Secondly, the main focus is still tragedy, and there is also a story about the protagonist's growth, expansion, fall and comeback. This is a very standard story.
On the contrary, there are not many shots dedicated to showing food or cooking. Because the ingredients in Stephen Chow's movies are not for eating but for tragedy. For example, when the two people were dueling at the end, they could fry an egg with the palm of their hand, which was said to be a ecstasy meal.
However, other food programs are different. For example, Nicholas Tse's "The God of Cookery" is really a food movie. The entire movie discusses ingredients, production, and competitions.
In fact, a very important reason why Stephen Chow filmed "The God of Cookery" was that he suffered huge losses during the previous filming of "Journey to the West". With no other choice, Stephen Chow had to go back to his old ways and make nonsensical tragedies, only to return to the top spot at the box office the following year.
